Client & project overview

Two dams, one command area, 2,87,628 ha.

The Mohanpura-Kundalia Project Management Unit (MKPMU) sits under the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The project itself pairs two dams — Mohanpura in Rajgarh district and Kundalia in Agar-Malwa district — delivering water through a pressurised, underground pipe network rather than open canals.

It's part of the wider Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) link, but the site's job is to represent this project on its own terms: its own command area, its own two districts, its own timeline — not the province-wide PKC figures it's sometimes bundled with in older materials.

What Vistaar built & delivered

Build for verification, not just presentation.

  • One source of truth

Every figure cross-checked across the Best Practices report, FAO overview and PD-approved presentations, under a standing data-freeze protocol before anything publishes.

  • A page-router SPA

16 pages on a single component-driven page router, so a scope correction or a timeline update is a scoped fix — not a rebuild risk.

  • Built for the field, not the desk

A hamburger drawer, mobile-first layouts and a lightweight blog-article system, since much of the audience is checking project status from a village, not an office.

Services involved

  • Admin panel architecture
  • Role-based UX design
  • Verification workflow design
  • Dispute resolution system
  • Subscription & credit pricing engine
  • Feature flag infrastructure
  • Audit logging
  • Support & FAQ CMS

Website, brand & UI design

A Visual Language Built On The Product Itself.

Campaign Direction.

  • Quote post from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, speaking at a podium: irrigated area in Rajgarh district grew from 50 thousand to 2,50,000 hectares
  • Quote post from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Rajgarh being named among India's top 10 districts for water conservation
  • Carousel cover, 'The figures that tell the story of the Mohanpura-Kundalia project', over an aerial view of a blue pump house beside a reservoir
  • '26,000+ km pipe network' over the inside of a pump house, with rows of large green pipes and blue valves
  • Engineers' Day post crediting the project's engineers, over sprinkler-irrigated fields with the dam releasing water behind
  • Infographic of irrigated area growing from 2,000 hectares in 2018–19 to over 2,90,000 hectares in 2025–26, above an aerial view of the dam

Outreach & storytelling

100 Days, 100 Villages.

A card-based content segment and a full blog-article system, built to carry the project's on-ground story beyond the engineering figures.

  • Village 18 of 100: a project officer talking with a group of farmers beside a buried pipeline outlet in a wheat field
  • Village 21 of 100: farmers gathered around a project officer as water gushes from a pipeline outlet into a green field
  • Village 28 of 100: project officers speaking with a circle of farmers at the edge of a field on a hazy morning
  • Village 35 of 100: project officers speaking with a group of farmers in a wheat field on a sunny morning

Before & After

From Scattered Decks To One Verified Source.

  • Project Data

    Before

Scattered across PDFs, decks and reports — inconsistent figures

    After

Verified figures cross-checked against source documents, published on one canonical portal

  • Geographic Scope

    Before

Escalated verbally between ops, sales and admin, no formal record

    After

Correctly scoped to Mohanpura-Kundalia's 2 districts, 2,87,628 ha command area

  • Public Presence

    Before

No public portal — internal review decks only

    After

16-page responsive SPA, live with a page-router architecture

  • Field Storytelling

    Before

No outreach content for on-ground programmes

    After

100 Days 100 Villages card content, plus a six-article blog system with a slide-in reader

Outcome

A Published Portal Not Just A Design File.

  • 16-page responsive SPA designed, built and shipped on a single page-router
  • Mobile-first layouts with a hamburger/slide-in drawer, tested across breakpoints
  • Blog article modal system live with six full-length articles
  • Standing data-verification protocol established with the Project Director's office for every published figure

A complex government project with lots of information, and they made it structured and easy to navigate. Communication and delivery stayed smooth throughout.
